Blood Moon Finale

The fourth Blood Moon of the 2014-15 Tetrad brings to a close a period of intense celestial activity surrounding the Blood Moons.

The year 2013 saw a number of unusual manifestations leading up to the Blood Moon Tetrad. On February 13, 2013 there was near miss by an asteroid large enough to destroy a city and the largest meteor strike in a century. There was a comet which appeared on Passover and a second which appeared on Tabernacles and was obliterated passing by the Sun on Hanukkah. These celestial messengers warned of Judgement and also held open God’s offer of salvation and protection for those who follow Him (See our Blog of 12/4/13 “Comet ISON Makes its Point”). We were reminded that God can punish the wicked while protecting the righteous (2 PE 2:9).

The Passover Blood Moon of April 15, 2014 came in the constellation Virgo (The Virgin) pictured as the Woman in the Sky in Revelation 12. It appeared in the feet of the Woman, as in Revelation 12, matching its position on March 23, 5 B.C. when a Blood Moon announced the birth of Christ. The Moon, described in the Bible as the “Faithful witness in the sky” (Ps. 89:37) and representing the believers, turned blood red to remind us that we overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Rev 12:11). That the Blood Moon is a sign for the Church was shown by the Church comet which appeared on Passover in the Church constellation Ursa Major (The Assembly) and the location of the Tabernacles Blood Moon in Pisces (The Fish), which also represents the Church. In fact, the Blood Moon scripture of Joel 2:30-32 was repeated by Peter on the birthday of the Church, Pentecost (Acts 2:17-21), as a sign of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and salvation. It was also in 2014 that we begin to see early signs of a new Christian unity revival as the Catholic Pope and evangelical leaders begin to remove the 500 year old division in the Church.

Just prior to the Passover Blood Moon of April 4, 2015 a Solar Eclipse in Pisces on the first day of Spring brought another judgement warning and a message of Christ’s Return in triumph (See our Blog of 3/18/15 “Spring Signs”). Later in 2015 a comet and a planetary massing on the 2600th anniversary of the fall of Jerusalem to Nebuchadnezzar brought another warning of judgment awaiting those who do not follow God. (See our Blog of 7/15/15, “Comets Real and Imagined”). At the same time, the Blood Moons point to an expected outpouring of God’s Spirit, salvation, and overcoming.

The Tabernacles Blood Moon of September 27-28, 2015 will be visible in the U.S. from 9:11 to 10:23 PM CDT. It will happen in the constellation Pisces (The Fish), the sign of the Church, as yet another confirmation that the Blood Moons are about revival in the Church.

So go out and look for the Blood Moon on Sunday night, September 27. And look for a revival to follow.
