Recently we have seen a number of internet postings claiming that there will be a fifth Blood Moon on March 23, 2016.

The fact is that there will be a “Penumbral” lunar eclipse on March 23, meaning that the Moon will move through the Penumbra, or outer fringe, of Earth’s shadow. This weak Partial eclipse will produce very little visible shadow on the Moon. It is not a total eclipse and the Moon will not turn Blood Red as occurs in a genuine Blood Moon Eclipse.

The internet purveyors of this false Blood Moon are also promoting a false gloom and doom scenario to go with it. Don’t believe it.

The genuine Blood Moon Tetrads which we have traced back for over 3,000 years are signs of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and salvation (Ac 2:17-21) and overcoming evil (Rev 12:11). The Blood Moon tetrad of 1967-68 signified the beginning of the Charismatic revival which has produced 600 million Charismatic Christians, and we believe that the Tetrad of 2014-15 points to the beginning of a great revival based on the unity of the Church.

If you want to think about a March 23 Blood Moon, think of the March 23 5BC Blood Moon which we believe was the great and wondrous sign of Revelation 12:1 signifying the birth of Jesus. Happy Birthday, Jesus!
