Following Israel Through The Heavens

Next week on May 14 we will celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the rebirth of the nation of Israel.

Israel plays a foundational role in the story of Christ in the scriptures, history, and prophecy. It is also highlighted in the revelation of Christ in the Heavens, which we call the Star Bible.

The first constellation of the Star Bible, Virgo (The Virgin) promises the virgin birth of Jesus (Genesis 3:15 and Isaiah 7:14). Its brightest star Spica (The Branch) reminds us that Jesus was described as the Branch of David (Jeramiah 33:15), and shows that Virgo also represents Israel. The sacrificial religious system God established for Israel is symbolized by the second constellation of the Star Bible, Libra (The Scales) and its associated constellation Lupus (The Victim) picturing a sacrificed animal. The constellation Corona Borealis (The Crown), also associated with Libra, reminds us that Jerusalem is called a crown in Isaiah 62:1-3. Corona Borealis is the target of the serpent restrained by the third Star Bible constellation Ophiuchus (The Serpent Held), symbolizing Satan’s attacks on Jerusalem and God’s people before the coming of Christ. The brightest star in Corona Borealis is Gemma (The Shinning), a picture of God’s presence (Psalm 80:1-7), which was carried by the precession of the equinoxes to the Zenith Point over Jerusalem at the time of Christ as a sign in the Sun, Moon, and Stars of His Advent.

Christ came first to Israel, and the joining of the first Jewish believers with the Gentiles to form the Church is pictured by two fish joined together in the seventh Star Bible constellation Pisces (The Fish), which represents the Church. Sadly, the leaders of Israel and many Jews rejected Christ. The consequent destruction of Israel and the scattering of the Jews is shown in a constellation associated with Pisces, Andromeda (The Chained Woman). The brightest stars Almaac (Struck Down), Alperatz (Broken Down), Mirach (The Weak), and Adhil (The Afflicted) in Andromeda convey the reality of the tragic fall of the Virgin Daughter of Zion to the Chained Woman.

However, the rebirth of Israel tells us that the days associated with the constellation of the Chained Woman are coming to an end soon. The constellation Cassiopeia (The Enthroned Woman) associated with the Eighth chapter of the Star Bible Aires (The Ram), promises us that Israel will be restored and rule with Christ after His Second Coming (Zechariah 14:3-11). The tenth Star Bible constellation Gemini (The United) also has a strong connection to Jerusalem and Christ’s millennial rule. The constellation pictures Jesus as Suffering Savior, represented by the star Pollux (He Who Comes to Suffer) and as Ruler, represented by the star Castor (The Ruler). Pollux stood at Zenith over Jerusalem when Christ came, as a sign in the Sun, Moon, and Stars, and Castor is moving to the Zenth over Jerusalem in 2121 AD, a sign of Christ’s Second Coming in the Sun, Moon and Stars.

The final home of the Jewish believers with God is represented by the constellation Ursa Minor (The Lesser Sheepfold), associated with the eleventh Star Bible chapter Cancer (The Holding Place). The bright star name Kolchab (Waiting on Him Who Comes) shows that all of those who looked forward in time to the coming Messiah, even those like Job who were not Jewish, will find a home with God. The other bright star of Ursa Minor is Polaris (The Turned Upon) which we also call the North Star. Polaris is actually moving toward the celestial North Pole, the position symbolizing rulership, as the time nears for Jerusalem to become the capital of the world after Jesus returns. Polaris will reach the North Pole in 2102 AD, and this is a sign in the Sun, Moon, and Stars of the Second Coming.

Most of the stars of Israel will be visible this evening. Begin with Virgo which is high in the southern sky. Libra is just to Virgo’s east and just south of Libra, barely above the Southern Horizon, is Lupus. North of Libra is Serpens Carput (The Head of the Serpent) which is trying to reach Corona Borealis. Pisces and Andromeda are only visible in the early morning hours, but Cassiopeia is visible on the Northern Horizon this evening. Castor and Pollux in Gemini are visible on the Western Horizon. And of course, Ursa Minor takes the dominant position at the North Pole.

So follow Israel through the Heavens tonight and you too may end up on top of the world.
